Board of Trustees
UC Academy is governed by a strong Board of Trustees. The Board is committed to govern by Policy Governance. Under the Policy Governance model, the Board is responsible for establishing the organization’s mission, vision, core values, and governing policies. The daily management of the school is delegated to administration, and the Board holds administration accountable for fulfilling the school’s mission/vision and for managing in full compliance with Board policies.
The UC Academy Board of Trustees is a self-perpetuating board. There are nine board positions; three are selected from the parent body, three from the community at-large, and three from the Abundant Living Family Church membership. The Board meets at least quarterly. The first half (or general session) of Board meetings are open to parents and the community. The second half (or executive sessions) are for Board members and the Superintendent only.
Board members are kept aware of school activities, but they do not participate in the daily management of the school. The Board encourages those with operational, management, or personnel concerns to contact school administration.
