At the Elementary level, the UC Academy of the Arts program offers a wide range of exploratory and elective classes for students to choose from. The exploratory classes provide each grade level the chance to “explore” various areas of Visual and Performing Arts. Through these classes, students get a “taste” of various instruments and art forms. The elective classes are designed for students who want to enroll in a particular arts course for the entire year. This allows them to further develop their skills and continue on to a higher level of performance.

While students are given the opportunity to express themselves creatively and artistically in these enrichment classes, they are also developing important and foundational life skills that will carry them through the years to come. Many studies indicate that as students engage and grow in the arts, they will also flourish academically. This is an exciting and promising new program that we hope to broaden to the Junior High and High School levels in the years to come.

Art Programs are offered after school for an additional fee.
